HOWARD – Andrew Finta, 99, of N. Ridge Hts. Dr. died Feb. 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born Apr. 17, 1913 in Columbus to the late Martin and Mary (Fodor) Finta.
He was a machinist, retiring from Federal Glass after 44 years. He grew up in the Hungarian Reformed Church, and then attended Catholic Church with his wife. They were longtime members of St. Phillips Catholic Church and members of St. Luke Catholic Church for the past 11 years.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Mary (Boldizar) Finta, whom he married Aug. 12, 1939. Also surviving is a daughter, Mary Beth (John) Wolf of Howard. Granddaughters, Renee (Don) McDaniel of Howard, Jennifer (Pete) Dennis of Logan, and Wendy (Shawn) Jones of Columbus. Great grandchildren, Drake & Kiera Jones of Columbus, Mitchell & Matthew McDaniel of Howard, Corbin & Maidie Dennis of Logan. Nieces & nephews include, Rosemary Upper of Santa Rosa, CA, Bob Finta of Michigan & Florida, and Marty Finta of Buckeye Lake.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and their wives, John (Rose), Martin (Bea & Velma), & Joseph (Sue) Finta.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the FISCHER FUNERAL HOME in DANVILLE with Father Victor Wesolowski officiating. Burial will be in the St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
